The Kodak Cine Ektar 40mm f1.6 is a movie camera lens that was made in Rochester, New York by Eastman Kodak. Kodak Cine Ektar lenses are considered the top quality.  They are precision-built optical instruments. Cine lenses are generally sharper at low t stops than photo lenses, which can make for a more cinematic look and feel. They also have smoother and more precise focus and iris controls.
 
Upon visual inspection, this vintage lens shows normal signs of cosmetic wear due to age. All mechanical functions seem to function properly. The lens also appears to be in very good condition.
